Here we have two diagrams which were created for Official TM1 Tutorials.com Training, which show how some of the different components within the IBM Cognos TM1 Product set interact with one another. The first diagram shows specific components and the second shows an implementation example.

    Hi Guys

As a recent EP to TM1 convert there are a series of difficulties to be mastered in TM1. The biggest remaining issue i have is best practice thinking in organising the number of models or datasets in my TM1 Instance (service).

We want TM1 benefits of real-time updates on large models or many EP models that have been merged into one. However the world also wants each to be stand-alone so do not have outages if needing to restart the service. The feeder problems mean that service restart could be hours. We also have DEV-TEST-LIVE servers. So all of this means we need one instance(service) per model on DEV + internal service transfers run at scheduled intervals. This means we are not real-time and very complex.

    Help!!
