InfoCube, a Sydney-based management accounting and business analytics specialist, and enterprise planning software experts Daptech will merge their businesses to create InfoCube Consulting (Australia) Pty Ltd.

Commencing trading on July 9, the new entity will continue to provide clients such as Woolworths, Goodman Fielder, News Limited, Schneider and Hunter Douglas with superior Cognos service and solutions.

InfoCube founder and managing director, John Vaughan said the merger would complement the strengths of both companies.

“InfoCube has a strong history as a management accounting consultancy specialising in IBM’s Cognos Business Analytics solutions. Daptech, whose experts are also accountants, has great track record as Cognos TM1 Enterprise Planning Software experts.

“Merging is a natural fit for both business and ultimately will enhance the service we supply our clients as we deploy even greater Cognos powered solutions through their CFO offices,” said Vaughan who will be Managing Director of the new business.

The new organisation will continue to have a Sydney focus providing sophisticated Cognos solutions to their combined client base. This activity will focus on management consulting over the IBM Business Analytics suite, managed services for the Cognos Business Intelligence and Performance Management products, training for those products and helping clients manage their IBM software licenses and renewals.

Ben Hill, Director and Principal Consultant adds “we are really excited by the opportunities this opens for us, especially building on the excellent reputation InfoCube has across the entire Cognos suite within the Office of Finance”.
